New from WoodUpp: Everything in Our September Launch

Two new colors for the wall you already know: one warm and dark, one light and calm.

Dark Cashmere is the deep one. Its slats sit on dark beige felt, and together they make a bedroom or a reading corner feel wrapped in warmth.

Soft Linen goes the other way. Light slats on light beige felt keep a room bright and quiet, so it suits the spaces where you want calm without weight.

The principle is the same as always: slats on acoustic felt that look good on the wall and soften the sound in the room. Both colors come with matching end lamellas in 22 mm and 67 mm, so every edge of the wall finishes cleanly in the same color.

A wall that holds your things, and lets you rearrange them whenever you like.

Create is the collection that turns an Akupanel wall into something you use every day: shelves, storage and furniture. This launch starts small, with the Dupps.

Think of it as the anchor for everything on your panel wall. It is a small bracket that locks between the slats, with no drilling, and when you want it somewhere else, it comes straight back out. You know it in black. Now it comes in beige too, in packs of three, seven or ten.

Luva mounts straight onto the Dupps. It is one set of three soft, pressed felt boxes in three widths, in light beige or dark warm grey. Fill them with the small things that tend to end up on every surface, and move them around as the room changes.

Pressed felt was new to Create, but not to WoodUpp: felt is already the backing behind every Akupanel.

Furniture that changes with you, instead of being replaced.

Arka is a modular furniture system in four pieces: an Open Cabinet, a Bookcase, a Bookcase with Drawer and a TV Console. They all share the same 33 cm depth, so you can line them up and connect them.

Here is the clever part. Holes run all the way along the inside, so the brackets go wherever you want a shelf or a divider. When your needs change, you just move them. No new furniture needed.

Arka comes in black and beige, with WoodUpp's own Create handle. The TV Console has a hole in the back, so your cables stay out of sight.

We made Arka together with ByAulum, a furniture maker in Aulum, Denmark. Their design already existed, so the work was in the details: a redesigned drawer knob to match our Create handle, WoodUpp's beige shade, and new packaging.

A corner of your own, without losing the light.

Embrace is our room divider system. It shapes a space without closing it off, and this launch adds two new pieces to it.

The first is Vigg, a soft felt sheet that works as a room divider and fits onto the Embrace Basic Module 2. It is semi-translucent, so it shapes the space without taking the light out of it. You get separation, and the room stays open and warm.

Vigg comes in light beige, in 58 × 176 cm and 58 × 241 cm. It is a blend of wool and viscose, which gives it a tactile surface with subtle, natural variation in the color.

It is also a first for us. In Jonna Rehhoff-Nør's words, it is “WoodUpp's first textile product … soft, tactile, and mostly worked by hand.”

Light that goes where your evening goes.

The second new Embrace piece is Vala, a portable lamp made for the system. Hang it on a module, set it on a shelf, or carry it to wherever you are that evening.

It is dimmable and cordless, and it runs about eight hours on a charge. The body is aluminum. A soft strap makes it easy to carry and hang, cushions it against the surfaces around it, and hides the batteries, so it looks clean from every angle.

Vala comes with two sets of batteries, so there is always one ready. You are never tied to a wall socket.

One clean line, from the bottom of the wall to the top.

Aluwood is our wood and aluminum panel for outdoor walls, made for facades that need something a bit tougher and low-maintenance. It comes in several finishes, from browns and grays to black and plain aluminum, so there is a tone for just about any house.

And here is the news: every Aluwood color now comes in a 295 cm panel. On a taller wall, that means fewer joints and one unbroken line from top to bottom.
