These are Natural Wood panels made from real oak veneer with a smoked finish. Because it is genuine wood, the grain and color shift from slat to slat, so no two panels look exactly alike. Smoked oak sets a warm, rich tone, and it softens the room at the same time. Behind every slat sits Acoustic felt made of 50% recycled plastic (PET), which catches sound waves and breaks them up to reduce echo. Installed correctly, with battens and mineral wool behind the panels, smoked oak Akupanels reach Class A sound absorption. A wall with real depth that also helps the room sound calm.

A friendly DIY install
Smoked oak Akupanels install without special tools. Cut each panel to size with a fine-tooth saw and a utility knife, then fix it with screws or glue. A standard panel measures 240 x 60 cm (94 1/2 x 23 5/8 inches) and is 22 mm (7/8 inch) thick, so planning coverage is easy. A warm, characterful wall is well within a weekend.
