Ceiling wall panel ideas for the fifth wall

The ceiling is often called the fifth wall, yet most rooms leave it bare. Panels overhead add warmth, depth and a crafted feel the moment you look up.

Cover the whole surface, or frame a section above the kitchen island or the dining table. A panelled section marks out the zone below and changes how the whole room feels.

Want to mark the zone from the side too? An Embrace room divider stands between floor and ceiling and gives the area its own frame.

From the wall up and over

Run the slats from a wall straight up and across for a modern wrap-around look. The unbroken line draws the eye upward and ties the room together.

Real grain, warm tones and soft shadow lines between the slats break up a plain surface, without taking up any floor space. Choose natural wood for authentic grain or wood-like for an even color. Order samples to compare them in your own light.

A calmer sound from above

Sound rises and bounces off large, hard surfaces overhead, so open spaces start to echo. Every Akupanel has an acoustic felt backing with Class A sound absorption.

Up above, the felt catches sound before it bounces back down. The whole room feels calmer, from the sofa to the kitchen.
