Frequently asked questions

What if my wall is higher than 2.40 metres?

If you wall is higher than 2,4 you can install the panels in extension of each other. It is easy to cut the panels to make them fit a wall. Another solution is that you place the panels in the middle of the wall with space in the top and the bottom of the wall.

Can I mount the panels directly on the wall or do I have to mount them on a forkwork?

Yes, you can also install the panels directly on the wall without a formwork and without mineral wool behind the panels. In this way the panels will not take up as much space from the wall and into the room (only 2,2 cm which is the thickness of the panels). When installing directly on the wall (without mineral wool) the panels will obtain sound class D.

What is the delivery time?

Delivery time is 2-3 weeks. Once we have received your order we will start to produce your panels. We will then send them directly to you via the shipping company that we work with. The shipping company will contact you 3-5 days before delivery, so that you can arrange delivery together.

Do you have longer panels?

No, at the moment we only have a fixed size of 240 cm x 60 cm x 2,2 cm.

The production of special dimensions is usually not necessary. If you need a panel that is shorter than 2.4 metres, you can easily cut it to size with any saw. If you need a panel that is longer than 2.4 metres, you can easily install the panels in extension of each other.

Can the acoustic panels be installed in the bathroom or in the kitchen?

It depends on the surface of the panel. We don’t recommend using the Akupanels with wooden surfaces in rooms where they are likely to get in direct contact with liquids, since the wood can be damaged by humidity and water. However, the Akupanels in the Oxide range and the Akupanel | Concrete should be usable, since the surface is made from special developed highpressure veneer which is not affected by water.

Are the acoustic panels only for indoor use?

Yes, they are only for indoor use.

How do I install sockets and electrical outlets?

How can I create a beautiful end on the wall?

This winter we plan to add a new product to our range. An end lamella as wall ending. This lamella is covered with the surface on 3 sides. This will be available in a thickness of 22mm (if the panel is mounted directly on the wall) or 67mm (if sound insulation class A shall be achieved and the recommended 45mm battens are placed behind the panels).
